After a week where technology has hated me and thwarted my every move (well maybe not all of them, try 80% instead) tonight we were showing Serenity after Good night and good luck to make up for the DVD player messing up last time.

To ensure this didn't happen again, Kaylee took over as DVD player. Great plan we thought. At the start I plugged in the power adaptor to ensure there would be no problems with the battery running out. Unfortunately in my wisdom I didn't think to turn it on at the wall!

Half way through the film, "Low Battery" appeared momentarily before the screen blanked out. I then attempted to be in three places at once as I tried to fix the laptop power issue, turn the house lights up a bit and shout an apology to the audience.

If life were simple it would be boring.
