After Dinner Comedians

I have now attended tree InstMC dinners, and I have yet to have truly enjoyed any of the after dinner comedians. Sure every one managed to get at least one laugh out of me, but at the end of the half hour, I don't think I have had one where I spent more time laughing than anything else. Friday night's was probably the worst.

I am not sure if I have a particularly broken sense of humour but I don't find"angry old man shouts and complaints about the world" particularly funny or entertaining. It was just rather pathetic. Particularly when he was shouting at the audience to "lighten up" whenever he told a particularly sexist joke that failed to get the laugh he thought it deserved.

He spent a while ranting about political correctness and such. I don't think it occurred to him that perhaps, those jokes just weren't funny.
