As mentioned previously, I am taking part in an SMRT1 course. One of the discussions was around being more mindful of each moment and in particular how we are reacting to various situations.
One course participant mentioned that they are always thinking of getting the current (unpleasant) experience over and done with. A friend had replied with "Don't wish your life away".
Further down the discussion someone else mentioned that the line they used with their teenagers was:

I love this line and hope to use it to encourage myself to make the most of my own life.
