Today was the first work day of the new year for myself. Lucky the place was mostly quiet and everyone else was catching up on their own work.

As a result I was able to hyper focus on several jobs and I got much more work done than I had planned or expected. I also managed to fix some irritating bugs in a project that I was aware of but so far I had been willing to work around.

What is particularly nice though is that it didn't feel like work, more like play. It is a feeling I wish I could reliably replicate as required.
