The Easy Bit

I spent the majority of today finishing up the user interface for a simple app I am building. I have probably spent two days in total building the UI, though the program doesn't actually do anything with the information yet.

I still have to do the 'hard' engineering bit with the data and produce the results. I expect this to take about half a day (whenever I get around to it).

It is weird that I think of the user interface as the easy bit even though it will probably take four times longer to produce than the rest of the program.

I think the main learning is that user interfaces are hard to do right.
