I remember watching an online satirical video in 2004 and a recent conversation brought it to mind. I wanted to find and share that video with the other participants but I had a slight problem. I couldn't find it.

I have now had several attempts to find the video, using as many different search terms as I can think of. But the video seems to have been removed from the internet.

I had always thought that anything on the internet becomes permanent, impossible to disappear. Now I have learned, anything you want to find will be ethereal and vanish. On the other hand, anything you would rather forget will be there forever.
