An Unusual Day

Today was a day without kids. Well we still had them around at breakfast time but as is normal for a Monday morning my wife took them to nursery. What was not normal was us not going on to work.

Instead we have taken the week of work to prepare for hosting a party at the weekend, but today was mostly spent being together as a couple without the kids doing what small kids do.

It was nice to know we can spend prolonged periods together, without the company of small children. I look forward to a time again where occasions like today are not unusual.
