10 years ago I joined the workforce as the world was still processing the financial crisis. There were many predictions back then about how much things were going to change. But in truth, it had been virtually business as usual.
5 years ago Scotland voted to remain part of the UK. There were many predictions for what would happen if Scotland had voted to be independent. Many came true anyway.
As we now await leaving the EU, I am aware that there are once again a lot of predictions being made and this time I am trying to ignore them. The likelihood of them being corrected us pretty low and there is virtually nothing I can do about these external things.
I am trying to focus on the things that I can control. That is a tough enough job as it is.
