Staring into the Crystal Ball

Tonight I met up with our treasurer to put together a budget for the next year. This should include a rough plan for all the events in 2020. Considering I thought we were doing well when I managed to organise an event more than two months in advance, the idea of pulling together a plan for 2020 in the first half of September 2019 seems pretty ambitious.

We ran through the previous submission for the 2019 budget and plan, comparing it with what we actually did. The two did not exactly tie up particularly well. I suppose that makes things easier. If we failed to predict what we would do last year, I don’t think anyone can be surprised if we fail to predict our plans accurately this year.
