The next Disastrous Dinner will be held in Glasgow in two weeks time! It is a bit last minute this month, but signups are available on the IChemE website
The topic will be the Bakkan fields oil disaster 2008, by Christopher Laughlan. The talk will focus on the actions of Oasis petroleum and how their behaviour relates and reflects on the wider chemical engineering community.
We are trying a couple of different things this time:
We are hosting the talk in an office (provided by 3FBio, thanks to them) followed by dinner at a nearby wagamama.
The other big difference is we will be hosting it on a Friday night!
I am looking forward to trying out the new format and hope we can attract a decent number of people considering the late notice.
If you are unable to make this event, November's talk in Edinburgh is already organised and the details are on the IChemE Website
