Not That Bad

This Christmas has been weird to say the least. Yes it was disappointing that we could not spend more time with our extended families. Yes it would have been nice to actually have the large gatherings for Christmas dinner we are used to. Yes it would have been nice to hug family members.

But then I was reminded about other Christmasses. What other generations have had to go through. If this was just over 100 years ago, I would have not been with my family. I would have been in a muddy trench, trying to kill some other family's dad/brother/son while avoiding getting killed myself. Other generations have had to spend Christmas under famine conditions, or living in constant fear under tyranny.

If this is the worst Christmas I have to deal with, it really isn’t that bad.
